Like many new Iphone users, I was looking around the internet for a site where I could download software for my Apple Iphone. I started to feel frustrated due to the number of sites that either had very little to offer or had no technical support information. I felt like the ideal Apple Iphone Software Download site didn’t exist and I would have to settle for a lesser site. my frustration lifted once I found the Iphone Unlimited site.
The great thing about the Iphone Unlimited site is that is has downloads for games, movies, TV shows, music, ringtones, software and much more. For a small one time fee, I can get all the downloads I want any time of the day or night. No charge per download or anything like that. The site is constantly updated as well so new content is available just about every day.
I also found their 24 hour technical support to be good as well. I’ve gotten quick results when contacting them with various technical questions. They even walked me step by step through performing a few downloads. Click Here
Needless to say, the downloads are very quick. Software is provided that allows you to download as many games, movies, music, and software as your hard drive can handle. There is plenty of variety to choose from in each category of music, movies, games, and software downloads. Each of the downloads is high quality as well. Software is provided on the site that helps you transfer the files from your PC to your Iphone with no trouble. They offer step-by-step tutorials if you run in to any trouble. Click Here
With your membership purchase, you get instant access to iphone software downloads as well as the music, games, and movies that are available. Some sites are designed to be catch alls that cater to different devices, but the Iphone Unlimited site is ONLY for Iphones.
I’ve been very happy with my membership at the Iphone Unlimited site. I highly recommend that anyone who is looking for Iphone software downloads check the site out. Not only do you get great downloads, but you get almost immediate support if you run into any problems. Click Here
I’m trying to downlad nes emulators. and every site says to use cyberduck. but everytime i try connecting, it says user and password is wrong! I’m using root and dottie as the name and passwords but it just isn’t working. If you could help i would greatly appreciate it.
Make sure BSD subsystems and ssh are running on the iphone. If you are on version 1.1.1 than you should try root and alpine.
root and dottie was for 1.0.2. If nothing works than go to jailbreakme.com on your iphone and it would jail break your phone and install installer.app.
After that you should be able to easily download NES emulator or any other apps.
If you run into problems than visit www.tuaw.com for more info.
good luck!
psx for ipod touch / psx for iphone how to make it work and rom site
You had to be living in a cave over the past ten days to miss the iPhone hype, and while it’s now replaced by the Batman hype, I thought I’d share with my experience a week or so in.
There have been plenty of articles written about the new iPhone 3G: Walt Mossberg, gizmodo, Engadget and cnet, so I’m not going to give a review, but I am going to tell you why it’s a game changer and why it’s more computer than phone. Building on what David Pogue wrote about last week regarding applications, let’s go a little deeper and talk about usage.
First, if you take a look at any of the reviews listed above, you’ll notice that the phone usage comes last. Why? Well, like I said, this is more computer than phone. It’s about what you can do with it, and oh, by the way, you can make calls as well. As I look at my usage over the past week, it’s weighted about 80% data/computer and 20% phone; if anything, I think I’ll probably up the data/computer percentage a bit over time. We’ll see.
And the roll call:
#1 It crashes
I’ll get the negative out of the way first. Sure, I’ve had some BlackBerry restarts and crashes, but I’ve had more in the last week on the iPhone than I’ve had in the last few months on my BlackBerry Curve. So iPhone -1
#2 Application store
It’s a single place to get all the goods for the iPhone and plenty of applications, many of which are free, that really expand the usage of the phone. And that’s the key; the application store is a conduit for adding features to your phone. Just as your computer doesn’t do much without software, the hardware and application software from third parties takes this phone to another level. Application store +3
So let’s talk about computer-like behavior and some of these applications that enable it.
#3 Where you at
Borrowing for a second from Boost Mobile and Kanye, you really don’t have to ask this again. Loopt, demonstrated at WWDC, does run on other mobile platforms, but on the iPhone it really shines. Add your friends to your networks and Loopt keeps track of where you are via the built-in GPS, as well as letting you share photos and messages, all without a call. Location-based services +2
#4 Music
Devices that play music anywhere have (in many thanks to the iPod) become almost ubiquitous, but the iPhone with its applications manages to best them all. First, Pandora –yes the one that your IT dept. may be trying to block on your network–runs on the iPhone. Once I installed the app on my phone, using my same Pandora log-in gave me access to all my stations that I’d been listening to on my Mac. And it has the same thumbs up /down feature so Pandora can keep learning about the kind of music I like and don’t. Oh and it plays over 3G as well as WiFi, so truly music Pandora on the go.
Shazam, and I don’t mean Captain Marvel. Instead, launch Shazam and hold it up to a radio/tv/speaker and Shazam will listen to and identify the song. Now you’re one touch away from previewing and buying it on iTunes. Music on the iPhone +3
#5 Games
Taking full advantage of the accelerometer games like Crash Bandicoot and iPint (which by the way is a GREAT example of advergaming gone right!) allows the user to control the games by simply tilting and rolling the phone. Playing feels definitely un-phone-like, more like a PSP like experience, a great way to kill time when you’re not making a call. Game play +2
#6 Social Networking
What computer phone would be complete without social networking tools? And with the new iPhone came AIM Chat; as expected, it’s connected to your iChat / AIM account so it uses the same log-in to give you access to your buddy lists.
Recently updated (thankfully, as the initial release version was light on features) is the Facebook app. So chat and the majority of my main Facebook features, all on the go, a winner. Staying Connected +3
#7 Email and calendar
Building on the Mac’s already well-integrated email and calendar in Leopard, Apple’s new MobileMe gives you Over the Air (OTA) syncing, just like those corporate BlackBerry Enterprise Servers. Now admittedly, MobileMe had some issues in the maelstrom of switch from .mac and new iPhone release and some users have had problems with the OTA syncing, but my usage has been great. And I love that my calendar, email and contacts stay up to date across my computer, web and iPhone. OTA syncing +1
I’ll stop with seven reasons, but the list could go on, mainly due to the great applications, leveraging the hardware and software that Apple built. It’s a game changer in my opinion. Why? Because it’s less about the phone and more about the device. Being able to work, play, connect, post, etc. pretty much wherever you are is very powerful. And while other devices were here first, the iPhone just gets it a little more right.
If you want the best racing games, the iPhone is where it’s at. The iPhone’s 3G technology and accelerometer make for the best iPhone apps out there. Driving has never been so simple. Most games allow you to whip around the tracks with either touch screen or the accelerometer. Turn your iPhone from left or right, tip down, or up to go forward and most games do not require you to press a button for the gas. Let’s look at the top 5 best iPhone apps.
5. Asphalt 4- Use the accelerometer for easy steering as you zip through the streets of Los Angeles, New York, or Shanghai in anything from a Bugatti Veryon to a Mini Cooper. Take out your opponents with a swift bump in the rear, or side swipe. You’ll see the takedown mechanic return in this fast paced race that you loved from other Asphalt series. You can even race against your friends with the Wi-Fi multiplayer feature. This cutting edge game even allows you to drift, making this one of the best iPhone apps out there.
4. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D- Practically every gamer is aware of what Crash Bandicoot is. This low-speed cart race has lots of cute cartoon weapons that help you navigate your way around the track three times as you try to keep your number one spot. Just a tip of the screen and you can accelerate easily. Drop missiles on your opponents, blow them from here to kingdom come with TNT, or oil up the track and watch them slip and slide. Collect letters to spell out CRASH and you can unlock more levels and characters.
3. Cro-Mag Rally- You’ll find this game is very similar to Crash and the Mario Kart series, which probably explains why players love it so. However, you’ll find much more detailed tracks, great frame rate, and smoother colors. The game contains at least nine levels, taking you from ancient Viking scenery to underwater Atlantis. You’ll even come to love the ever so ugly cave men.
2. GTS world racing- Move over Asphalt, this game has 64 different tracks, 16 different world settings and four levels of difficulty. Another great feature of this app is that it allows you to listen to adrenaline rushed sound tracks or create your own with music from your iPod. The down side is that you only get 3 choices of cars to choose from. But who really cares when your art work changes so often.
1. Fastlane Street Racing- By far apple enthusiasts rate Fastlane as the best looking, and best playing game in the iPhone app store. It combines what’s best from Asphalt and GTS World Racing and puts it into one game. It allows the user to do everything both games do and more. Fastlane has the best graphics, eight punishing city routes, two high speed tracks, six challenge tracks to make your hairs stand on end, and five different game modes. View your games with the save and replay mode. It’s a game that really does require skill, and if you haven’t mastered the art of drifting in any of the other games listed above, you won’t find Fastlane easy to maneuver. Gamers say it has a very realistic feel making it one of the best iPhone apps available in the Apple App Store.
Which would you choose as an iPhone user? Play iPhone games on a web browser or downloading them on your phone. A lot of iPhone owners don’t realize how many games can be downloaded for free.
All you need is to know where to look for them. A few hints that might help you: If someone wants to use some of their free time playing iPhone games, they can easily search for them on Google. With just a quick search, you can easily select one of the hundreds of search results that show up.
The best thing about browser games is that you don’t have to download them. All you need in this case is to browse to the site and play the game, without installing anything. You should keep in mind that there are a lot of games online, but they don’t come close to conventional games.
If you want something closer to the conventional feeling, you should try downloading iPhone games, as it’s much cheaper now than before. Well, at least for those that know where to go and download them.
Sometimes you can even find sites where you can download free iPhone games, which is as good as it gets.
There are a couple of things you should know before downloading iPhone games:
1- Sites to avoid: A lot of P2P or torrents sites offer downloads that are illegal and in many cases they also have viruses. You probably don’t want that.
2- Membership Sites: You should know that some of these sites that require membership also ask for a payment each month to have access to their games. They’re not expensive, but you have to pay even if you don’t use it. So, if you stop downloading, you’re still getting charged in the months that follow.
3- Quantity vs. Quality: There are some sites the give you an unlimited number of iPhone game downloads for a small fee. These are the best deals to get, as you get unlimited downloads at a good speed. These are normally paid only once, not monthly, and they cost around $30-40.
Try looking for these types of sites as they give you the best value for your money.
One of the hottest gadgets on the market today is the iPhone. Since its introduction in 2007, it has quickly become synonymous with fashionable and powerful consumer electronics. Although the original iPhone was a huge success for Apple, customers quickly began voicing their recommendations for the inevitable second iteration of the stylish phone. For instance, customers made it clear that 3G speeds would greatly improve the email, internet browsing, and other data capabilities the phone already possessed. Others proclaimed that the omission of GPS capabilities in such a powerful device was inexcusable, since so many other modern phones include GPS and the iPhone is already heavily integrated with Google Maps.
Around the 1 year anniversary of the original iPhone, Steve Jobs and company introduced the most asked-for features in the second generation of the iPhone called the iPhone 3G. It did, in fact, include the two features mentioned above, as well as some other hardware and software improvements/tweaks. Apple also announced that the battery life, something the iPhone was no particularly known for, would also be improved. This was welcome news to anyone interested in owning one of these ever so popular phones.
However, as users bought the phones and began using the new features in everyday situations, it became apparent that the increase in battery life was all but offset by the slew of new hardware and software features included in the second generation phone. In fact, users began to complain that the new battery would not last through a standard workday, something the original iPhone had no problem doing in most situations.
You may find yourself in the same boat if you own an iPhone 3G. However, there are certain steps you can take to prolong the life of the iPhone, allowing you to choose a comfortable balance of usability and battery life that will suit your individual needs.
3G
The 3G capabilities of the new iPhone allow for faster downloads, quicker emailing, speedier maps, and much more. However, 3G coverage is not available in all areas and is poor in others. If you do not use the 3G network very often, you can turn it off completely in the iPhone’s settings menu. Otherwise, when not in a coverage area or when not using 3G for a long period of time, turning it off while not in use will improve the overall battery life.
Wi-Fi
If you are rarely near any Wi-Fi hotspots that you can connect to, you can turn Wi-Fi off completely in the iPhone settings menu which will save your battery for other things. If you do use Wi-Fi on a regular basis, it is also beneficial to turn off the “ask to join networks” feature to keep the iPhone from trying to get you to connect every time you are near wireless internet.
Screen Brightness
As with almost any other electronic device with a screen, changing the screen brightness level in the iPhone’s settings menu can alter the battery life considerably. By default, the iPhone uses a sensor to detect the light levels surrounding the phone and adjusts the screen to a comfortable brightness accordingly. If you need all the battery you can muster, you should turn off this automatic screen brightness option and then turn the screen brightness down as low as you can while still being able to see the display.
Push and Auto-Fetch
The new iPhone also features an option for email to be “pushed” to your device as soon as it arrives on your email server. This is a vital option for anyone who relies on important emails for business and other important information when seconds count. However, if we are honest with ourselves, most of us do not need such instantaneous delivery. Turning off the push function will save battery life since the iPhone will not be connecting to the server so frequently. Similarly, the iPhone can be set to automatically check for new email messages every so often. Turning this function off and manually checking for new emails when you want to read them will also add some runtime to the battery.
iPod EQ
The iPod functions of the iPhone are revolutionary and fun to use, meaning a significant amount of battery life may be used listening to music. One thing that can help cut down on the amount of battery this uses is turning off the EQ functions of the iPod. If you aren’t a fan of heavy base or blaring highs, this method may be for you. Also, the iPhone’s speaker cannot handle many EQ setting very well, meaning that unless you are using headphones, the EQ can be turned off without much of a difference being noticed.
Bluetooth
Last, but not least, the iPhone’s battery can be extended by keeping bluetooth turned off. The iPhone is not capable of sharing files or syncing with a computer over bluetooth, so unless you are using a wireless headset, keep the bluetooth turned off and you’ll never know the difference.
Iphone 3G Tips & Tricks – setting up Microsoft Exchange Corporate Email, Contacts & Calendar
The Nintendo DS gaming console is very popular gaming device all over the world. The new technology in the DS is known as the R4DS means revolution for DS. The DS gaming terminal has a long history. There are two types of devices that can be attached to the DS known as the slot1 devices and slot2 devices. You could only play games with DS until the latest technology has come into existence. The R4DS is the latest technology available in the market and has got very much popularity.
Here’s a quick run down of just what the R4 DS is. I would suggest that if you’re not quite sure as to what the R4 DS is, and what it can do, that you do go back to reading my article on this truly unique Nintendo DS accessory. In brief, the R4 DS is a slot 1 device that allows you to play homebrew games as well as Roms and Mp3 music, read e-books, watch movies, etc… on your Nintendo DS console. It turns your Nintendo DS system into a whole entertainment center, all for under $50.00.
There are some quick and easy tips to follow. While some of these tips may seem obvious, it even took me about a week and a half of using the R4 DS before I came up with some ways to make game playing a little bit easier.
1. Store your game files in a directory on your microSD Card. Make a folder called games, and ONLY store your games in this folder. It makes browsing to them in the menu much easier, and all your game save files will also be organized.
2. Store your MP3 Music files and video files in seperate folders too, and in the case of multiple music albums on the memory card, you should make a sub-directory of each album. This is a MUST for anyone that has lots of music, with all of the track names labelled TRACK 1.mp3, TRACK 2.mp3, etc… You’ll avoid conficts with file names by putting them all in on directory, and because you can name your sub-directory the name of the CD your ripped, you’ll at least know that TRACK-1.mp3 in the ABBA directory is from the ABBA greatest hits album.
3. Try to backup your game saves to your PC hard drive on a regular basis. Not because they could get corrupted on the microSD card in the R4 DS, but because you may want to go back to an earlier save point later in the game. It’s also good to get into this habit because you may erase a game (and its save game file) and not have a backup in case you want to play that game once again sometime in the future. While this one really seems like an obvious hint, you would be surprised to know that most of our technical support emails for the R4 DS deal with how to get back erased or deleted game saves that were not backed up. I recommend doing this at LEAST once a week, more if you play your games more frequently.
4. Don’t take out the R4 DS from the Nintendo DS console each time you want to add files to the microSD Card. Simply push the microSD card with your finger and it will ‘pop out’ of the R4 DS card slot. You can then quickly put it into the included microSD Card reader / writer in order to change games and files or add music or video.
5. This is my final (and quite possibly the most obvious) tip. And it deals with the microSD card in the card slot of the R4 DS. When you put the Nintendo DS or DS Lite into your pocket or pick it up. Do a double check on the microSD card in the R4DS slot 1 card. Make sure that the microSD card is in the card slot of the R4DS and it’s not loose or ready to pop out. The chances of it popping out without you pushing down on the card are slim, but it could happen while you’re carrying it in your pocket. There would be nothing worse than losing your microSD card somewhere, because it popped out and fell on the ground. MicroSD Cards are small and tiny, and once lost, you would have a hard time finding it anywhere else except at a store, where you’d be buying a new one. If you carry your Nintendo DS in a case, then the chances are much smaller that the card will get dislodged from the R4 DS card slot, but it’s better to check on a regular basis anyway. Make this something you do before you even power on.
The piracy in the usage of the Nintendo gaming console is increased due to easy use of the R4DS and easy availability of the games to be downloaded in the SD card. The persons who does the piracy, once gets the files of the illegal game in the computer than they transfer them in the Nintendo console. The Nintendo company was about to stop the selling of the R4DS due to the increase in the piracy of games. They had made the device for the legal use and the piracy makes the device available for the pirated and games.
Another point to consider is the piracy of the R4DS cartridge itself. The R4DS cards are available in pirated version by many illegal distributors. There are many people who loose their computer in a short circuit. It is necessary for you to overlook some trusted web sites if you are about to buy the R4DS for the fist time or after an accident with the old pirated one. There are a lot of web sites offering the R4DS sales. You must look for the website which has a store near to you and offering legal sales of the R4DS system..You could see a lot of game parts. So many useful things you can see there.
Where can I find iPhone/ iPod Touch App Giveaways?
Hey, I’m looking for one of those sites that offers free apps, or promo codes to people who write on the wall, review an app or just for the hell of it. Anyone know of anything?
-Thanks!
There are such websites. In return for your loyal ship to the site or an app review you’ll receive a promotion code for the app.
There is no such a website that gives free apps. You can go to the app store and type in “lite”. All the apps should be free under “lite”
