have you tried a hard reset ( hold sleep/wake button and home button) for like 10sec or until the phone turns off then try to turn it back on should work.
The Nintendo Dsi R4 is a device used to hoard data and applications of the Nintendo DSi using a micro SD card to store and execute the data. The R4 card looks more like a customary game cartridge. It is squashed and sleek as like the game cartridges and is more efficient than them. This small card can in fact do wonders. It makes you already competent Nintendo Dsi R4 into a more powerful and dynamic entertaining device.
The R4i cards allow the users to have fun homebrew games which allow you to run your favorite soundtracks to play on even during the game play or even when the Nintendo Dsi R4 console is kept in the closed position.
There are a range of useful applications that help you to be more entertained for long hours together. You can get heaps of games and application through many websites that offer great deals with the games you buy online. You just have to get those games somehow and just lug the game files and drop it onto your Nintendo Dsi R4 card memory source.
This very trouble-free as the R4 cards follow only a drag and drop method to store files and there can be no worries or doubts regarding the transfer method. The wrap up for Nintendo Dsi R4 that you buy generally comes with a USB memory card reader which enables you to read the data on the micro SD card with out much effort.
Moreover, the Nintendo Dsi R4 desires no boot up software of any kind and needs no support to be executed. The files saved goes frankly into the micro SD card attached and does not affect the internal memory of the Nintendo DS. As soon as the console is bowed on with the Nintendo Dsi R4 card inserted into it, the R4 menu shows up and allows you to choose between the various features of the data stored on the micro SD card.

The iPhone is the one model of mobile phone that has essentially took the world by storm. As soon as it was launched, it flew off the shelves because everyone wanted one and the hype about the new and improved Apple iPhone 3GS has seemed to reach new and unprecedented levels. It is the handset that everyone, especially the technology aficionados out there, wants. Whether it lives up to the hype or not is a different matter, and the rest of this review will be looking into just that for you.
Believing The Hype
The Apple iPhone 3GS is just as attractive as the previous model for one main reason – it looks exactly like it. It has the iconic appearance and feel in the hand that the other models do and is incredibly attractive as a result. There is one main difference though in that there is an oleophobic surface to ensure that it is less susceptible to attracting fingerprints. Given the fact that it is a touch screen, any feature that can help has two thumbs up and this definitely does. However, to get an idea as to why the Apple iPhone 3GS is different from its predecessors it is necessary to look at the features within the handset.
Hi-Tech Performance
The Apple iPhone 3GS is a good basic phone that can be used as a main phone for everyday use. However, it is so much more than just a phone. All of the amazing features are easy to find on the logical and well ordered menus. One of the first things that any user should take a look at is the web browser, which is easily one of the best on a mobile phone at the moment. It is easy to use and is of a high quality on the screen. As such, browsing is easy. This is further enhanced by the browsing speed, which is amazing when compared to other similar handsets on the market.
The Apple iPhone 3GS goes above and beyond its predecessor in other feature areas. For example the camera is excellent. There were complaints about the former iPhones because of the low quality pictures they gave but the new hardware has solved this problem. The video recorder is also of a high quality and of course the sound quality is excellent. However, the one major lovely touch that needs highlighting is that the apps load incredibly quickly so you can access anything you need in the blink of an eye.
Negative Feedback
There are a few niggles associated with the Apple iPhone 3GS. One of which is the volume, which can be a little loud if you are in public places. There are modes that can relax the volume a little though so you should be able to prevent this soon enough. Another niggle is the fact that data speed connection does drop in line with your battery and this can get a little frustrating to say the least. Finally, the security level of the handset is fine for personal use but may not be good enough for business use or checking bank balances and so on. As such, it may not be suitable for heavy business use.
In short, the Apple iPhone 3GS does have one or two niggles but is an improvement on the previous iPhone handsets because Apple have learned from their mistakes. The phone is highly functional, highly fashionable and a must have for all technologically minded individuals. It is also simple enough for those not so experienced to use. Try it out. It is worth every penny.
How can I get free apps on my iPhone without jailbreaking or using appulous?
I have an iPhone 3gs an I want to get some apps without paying. Is there away to get them without jailbreaking. Or is there an itunes gift card generator for mac?
simple answer: yes but hard/risky
the most obvious way to get free paid apps is to jailbreak however, there are alternatives.
1st u cud use an itunes gift card generator. make sure u hv an itunes account without a credit card wen u do this. and use fake id. disadvantages r that u cud get a virus.
2nd way if u rly know what ur doing with a computer choose this. what u cud do is get a cracked app from the numerous websites that provide them free. u then need the sdk (minor problem: so far only for macs only so no windows) then u cud personally sign the app urself and install it on ur iphone
3rd way if u wna do it legally, u cud sign up to a website such as swagbucks which pay u for browsing on that site and u cud use the points u earn to buy an itunes gift card and then buy apps. the more u browse the more money u cud make but its random (which i dont like) or check out this video i made on youtube for a better site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXuIS7fkLKs&feature. i would be happy to send u and/or ur friends an invite code.
Do you think that Verizon’s cell phone business model will lead them into trouble?
With the hugely popular Apple iPhone and now Google getting into the cell phone market, Verizon’s stronghold on cell service could be seeing some trouble because of their business model. They want you to pay for everything, every application on your phone, every kilobyte of data transferred, all of it. And yet, the iPhone and Google phones are largely successful due to their free applications.
Look at what Apple does. They have opened up their development kits for anyone to make their own application and host it for download. Many are free, but most are still paid, and this works great.
I think that Verizon will need to shift their plans and allow more freedom to their users. Otherwise, they will get hurt badly by the future software developments in cell phone technology.
Have you read up on verizons purchase of the 700 MHz spectrum? You should. It goes into detail about this.
why doesnt my iphone get as good of service as my old phones?
ive had at&t the whole time and ive my iphone for about a year now. but my old phone never had problems with low service anywhere but my iphone does almost everywhere and almost never has perfect service. how can i get the service to be better? i have a case on the iphone but its just plastic and i dont think that would do anything to it.
AT&T may have done some maintenance and you may no longer have the same reception you used to have. It happened to my sister when we had AT&T she moved 5 hours away and then they relocated the AT&T tower, and she got crap service.

iPhone hacks vs Apple SDK kit planned released in short time.
iPhone has a community providing a large range of applications, useless to innovative more useful applications. The Mac operating system and its interface makes it more fun to do development on than the Microsoft handheld PDA’s.
Will this community survive and prosper regardless of Apple’s planned release of iPhone SDK this month?
The iPhone is a perfect example of what a handheld device should have. It has a a nice design, easy-to-use software, and an intuitive interface. Several people found out they needed to make their own software for it, since it lacked some as Apple released it. You will find add-ons made by these people that range from instant access to a Blockbuster Online DVD queue to a pocket guitar that takes advantage of the touch screen technology.People also unlock the iPhone from AT&T or other subscription systems. This will enable the iPhone to work on other operator’s networks.
Al these add-on software’s, are done without Apple’s interference or their technical support. Apple is expected to release a software development kit (SDK) that will allow programmers to write legitimate software for the phone. This kit will be available during February month and will enable developers to make more robust software, and it will let the iPhone users to download new programs without needing to follow online instructions from various blogs. The SDK will likely spawn a new world of applications, will lead to commercial applications for the business sector, that will extend the use of the iPhone beyond its user base of 4 million, as announced in January by Apple.
Today’s iPhone users use the handheld as Apple intended it to be used, by updating the software and installing media via iTunes. By default, the only way to get anything on the iPhone is by using iTunes,
The developer Jerry Jones has made an iPhone widget that accesses a user’s Blockbuster movie queue, as well as a program that lets people adjust the phone’s shortcuts so that a double click of the home key launches different applications than Apple’s default.
If you want to add these kinds of unwarranted files to your iPhone, you must make some technical workarounds and it is not for the in-experienced users.
One of the most popular programs made for hacked iPhones is a game called Labyrinth that lets a user roll a virtual marble through a maze by tilting the phone. The game accesses the built-in accelerometer in the iPhone.
Shinya Kasatani wrote an application that turns the iPhone into a guitar. The application is easy to use for people familiar with a real guitar. The screen of the iPhone is turned into a virtual guitar board on which a person can press and pluck. It’s basically a software-based synthesizer with a guitar user interface.
The developers need the official SDK and programming documentation to build stable applications. When Apple releases its SDK, more applications like this could become available, just as they are on PCs and Macs today.
There is suspition in the developers circles that it’s not going to be a wide open SDK. Programmers might have access to certain layers of the phone’s underlying software, such as the instructions that allow widgets to access the Internet, but Apple may keep the instructions for accessing the accelerometer, for example, under wraps.
The control is essential to ensuring that the iPhone works well for most of the people most of the time. In addition, Apple’s control is important for ensuring software stability and security, which is two important criteria if the phone is to be used in the business setting. Apple wants to make the iPhone somewhat corporate friendly.
You are going to see a lot of focus on pulling developers in to make form-based applications. The kind of applications used in a sales environment, for example. Apple will treat third-party software the same way that it approves iPod accessories: by requiring vendors to register with Apple to acquire a badge noting Apple’s approval. In this way, Apple could maintain some control over the quality of outside applications, which could help make them more secure.
The hacking community will continue to be innovative with the iPhone, regardless of the access the SDK provides to programmers, and the safety precautions available for certified third-party programs.
“Even without the official SDK,” says Kasatani, “it’s much more attractive than Windows Mobile.” The Mac operating system and user interface are more fun to use, he says, and the multi-touch display makes it especially interesting to work with.
This year has without a doubt been the year of the iPhone and more to the point, the year of the iPhone mobile game. The launch of the Apple (AAPL) iTunes App. Store earlier in the year unleashed a torrent of new games and iPhone applications onto the world. Although most of the early releases tended to be rehashed versions of existing game concepts, adapted for the iPhone experience, as 2008 progressed, our friends the game developers, have started to get to grips with the uniquely new technologies. Which have helped define the iPhone as THE mobile gaming experience to be reckoned with and hopefully with the game developers just getting warming up, who Knows what 2009 will bring!
Oh yeh! and you can make a phone call if you really want.
As the year draws to a close we asked our thumbthug.com mobile gamers to weigh in on what they felt were the best iPhone games of 2008.
10. Tap Tap Dance/Tap Tap Revenge Opinion was pretty much split were tapping was concerned. Both Tap Tap Dance which is a Dance Dance Revolution style game and Tap Tap Revenge which is basically Guitar Hero for the iPhone scored high this year both for playability and just shear down and dirty fun. But if we had to give it either way it would probably go to Tap Tap Revenge because, lets face it, more people want to be lead guitarist in a rock band than a backup dancer for Britney! The online element also helps to add depth to the gaming experience.
9. SimCity EA has done a great job in porting this game over to the iPhone maintaining all of it’s engaging and addictive gameplay qualities. The downside is that there are still a few bugs in the system that need to be sorted but EA are working on them and have promised to have them resolved shortly. That said, SimCity may have scored higher this year if it were not for this.
8. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D Really not much to say about this game apart from it’s just a fun driving game that uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to steer. If you are a fan of games like Mario Karts on the Wii, you will be a fan of Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D on the iPhone. Just don’t try and walk down the street whilst playing it, lampposts are harder than they look.
7. Super Monkey Ball Another just down right fun game that makes great use of the iPhone’s accelerometer technology and i would not have expected anything less from SEGA. Just watch-out for the motion sickness!
6. Bejeweled 2 This game seems to become everybody’s favorite regardless of what platform it is thrown onto. It just goes to show that great gameplay out weighs great graphics every time.
5. Tetrus Classic, classic and again a CLASSIC!
4. Enigmo Voted “Best iPhone Game” at Apple’s WWDC ‘08 this fun puzzle game also seems to be a favorite of the thumbthug.com crowd. If you are the shoot ‘em up type cell phone gamer then this game is probably not for you but if you like a game that is fun, challenging and makes you think then you are an Enigmo!
3. Trism Another game to take full advantage of the iPhone’s tilt and touch gameplay, Trism sits somewhere between Tetris and Bejeweled in the game style highraki. Yes Fun, Yes Addictive!
2. Topple If you love to stack you will love Topple, this very addictive “How high can you go?” game is both funny and fun at the same time. Drag, rotate and stack your blocks and when they fall, drag, rotate and stack some more. Oh, and it’s FREE which might account for some of it’s ranking.
1. Rolando Without a shadow of a double, Rolando is the Thumbthug.com Gamers iPhone game of 2008 and I mean overwhelmingly, we are talking “Obama-esc” landslide. And i have to say that we here in the thumbthug.com office tend to agree. This puzzle game utilizes all aspects of the iPhone’s gaming technologies to great effect. Hats off to ngmoco, Inc for creating the iPhone game of 2008.
