jailbreaking iphone 3G! problem.?

i’m trying to “jailbreak” my iphone 3g! i already downloaded the Quickpwn and the firmware. the problem is that when i get to the part on “browse for firmwear” on the quickpwn, it finds the firmware but at the bottom is says “firmware error string”. And so i looked it up on the internet and they said “make sure your downloading the right version. and i checked SEVERAL time, its version 2.2.1. and it still doesn’t work. PLEASE HELP ME!. (:

I think it might be easier to download the 2.2.1 firmware file and leave it on your desktop. You can find the ipsw file here:

Do not open it with iTunes, just save it and make sure the file goes to your desktop (or at least an easily locatable folder). From there, just open up QuickPWN again and then when it gets to the part where it looks for your firmware, if the error pops up again try to click on the “Browse” button next to where the file name should be read. Just manually find the file yourself and select it. You should be able to proceed after that.

Link iPhone apps to Facebook?

I have a few games on my iphone that have the option of linking the app to my facebook account (like high scores etc). So within the app there is the option to Connect to Facebook. When this button is pressed I am brought to a facebook login screen.
