When you look at iTunes, on the left hand side is the menu bar Click on you’re iPhone’s icon and it should take you to a screen that has your iPhone’s info, including available updates, memory usage, and so on. At the top, there is another menu bar that has ‘music, movies, podcasts, etc’. Click on ‘photos’ and then uncheck ’sync photos’ This should make it so that when you sync you’re iPhone, it will not do anything to your pictures

i clicked on “iphone” from itunes and i dont find any app sync button. I can see there just music,movies, and others. Is there a software to download, or a patch for itunes?

the apps button is only missing in 2 circumstances:-

1 your version of itunes is too old or badly installed.. reload it from www.apple.com/itunes and restart

2. you phone is not running version 2 firmware or is jailbroken.
A. upgrdae to the version 2.2 firmware form its setting page via the check for update button.
B. If jailbroken try to remove it by restoring to the same firmware level as you jailbroke it on. a jailbroken phone is no longer an iphone and can be updated or run offical apps only jailbreak ones.

Ion jailbreaking WHY?

Cydia (and other jailbreaks) have cause more problems for people than its worth.. (I never jailbreak but buy apps like Air sharing to enable limited disk use) as the only other extra is unapproved apps and background wallpapers (which are distracting).

Jail breaking also voids the warranty and does cause many issues form files vanishing, memory leaks and loss, rebooting and even failing to boot.

Jailbroken ipods cause so many problems (just search on here for them). It alters the boot code so its not really an ipod at all.

Best option is to remove the jailbreak by restoring the ipod on your computer but NOT connected to internet as latest non 2.x upgrade is 1.1.4 and updating from jailbroken 1.2.3 to 1.1.4 will BRICK your unit (DEAD forever).
