iphone connecting to exchange

If you bought the new iPhone then you probably want to know where you can go to get iPhone downloads to fill that little sucker up.right? You know about iTunes, but you also realize how expensive that can get and would much rather avoid spending more money since you did spend a big chunk of change on that beautiful iPhone of yours. So why spend another $400 a year on entertainment downloads right?

The Buzz

Your not alone, there are tons of other gadget geek iPhone owners (just kidding) out there that feel the same way. Why pay ridiculous prices, especially when you can join a membership site and download anything you want. You have to trust what your reading here, thousands of people feel the same way you do about the situation and that’s why many of them choose to take there money else where, wouldn’t you if you knew you had choices? But beware when you decide to sign up for any plan, membership or agree to pay monthly fees to any site for iPhone downloads, “Make sure you understand the agreement” before you buy.

Miss Understandings

There are tons of different music/Mp3 iPhone download sites that want you to pay per download or join their monthly membership plan. Most of them become another annoying flee on the credit card bill, buzzing around until they drive you nuts. That’s why it’s probably a good idea to read the agreement first. Some times they add all kinds of extras to the bill (ouch!). Who wants that? So why pay per download or even pay by the month to become part of some club where you don’t even get full access to download whatever you want, You don’t have to.

Popularity Wins All

Over the last few years there has been allot of great music and media download websites popping up every where. Just to name a few there’s Net iPhone Downloads, Web iPhone Access and iPhone Downloads Pro. These are all top contenders in the field however there are a bit more out there. You may want to do your research. What these awesome sites do is connect you to a million (If not a billion) other iPhone user’s exchanging videos music and anything you can possibly think of.

Here’s an example: If Jane in Indiana has the new hit song by Akon you can have it to, get the idea now? It’s kinda like instant messaging each other but sending files instead and when you get hooked up to the network it’s all easy to use with easy navigation access to help you find and connect to what ever it is your looking for. That’s got to sound way more appealing then paying $2.49 a song. Look at itthis way, say you had a bazillion family members all over the world and you know one of them had a video or movie you wanted all they would have to do is send it to you and that’s kinda how it all works but much more appealing then asking uncle bob for his music.

Yes Yes Yes it’s free, that’s right the only thing you have to pay for is the membership fee at the gate. These sites give you access to the worlds biggest media library. You can’t beat it. You would have to be crazy to continue paying per download after reading this article and I would pat you on the back for making it this far if I could, congratulations.

So hey you made it! I’m glad you enjoyed my article, I hope it was interesting enough for you and gave you the information you were looking for!

apple iphone user reviews

Apple has certainly put a smart strategy in place with the launch of it’s Apple iPhone smartphone. With close integration to its Safari Internet browser, Apple looks set to create another innovative user experience for Apple fans worldwide.

The Safari browser till recently had only been available to Mac users. However, with the launch of the Safari version 3.0 (beta) for Windows, Apple looks set to step into the Windows arena, traditionally dominated by incumbent behemoth Microsoft Corp.

While we won’t expect to see anything similar to the browser wars where Netscape Corp faced off against Microsoft for a share of the browser marketplace, Steve Jobs’ announcement at the 2007 Worldwide Developers Conference shows that Apple is serious about Safari’s cross compatibility with Microsoft’s Windows operating system.

Steve Jobs announced that Safari 3 would run on Microsoft’s Windows XP and Windows Vista platforms.

Apple has tied up alliances with search engine giant Google as well. Safari 3.0 (beta) also works with GoogleDocs and allows for rich formatting in Gmail. These were previously unavailable in earlier Safari versions.

Another issue which came up was a security exploit which followed Safari’s initial beta release on June 11, 2007. Subsequently a few days later, apple released a Windows 3.01 Safari update which addressed these security issues.

Which brings us to take a closer look at the Apple iPhone smartphone.

The iPhone sports a modified version of the Safari browser and it will allow full facities offered by web pages. Previous smartphones tended to display a condensed or abbreviated verions of web pages.

The Safari browser will also serve as a gateway between the iPhone and the user’s music collection. Although the exact details aren’t available yet, it could be that the Apple’s iTunes software could have a part to play in this.

Most users however, will not spend excessive amounts of time worrying about the technical details of these software issues.

What they will experience however, is Apple’s attention to detail and a pleasant user experience.

Being able to transfer data, music and other digital media like photos between their iPhones and their laptop or desktop will be something they can certainly look forward to.

It may seem strange, but with one fell swoop, Apple’s designers would have created a new paradigm shift in the people’s thinking about the iPhone and their computer. Rather than regarding them as two separate pieces of equipment, they may start to think of the iPhone and the computer as it’s docking station.

The seamless transition of iPhone and computer into a single device has begun.

free iphone music videos downloads

The high Steaks poker Game Has begun; Hollywood watches and waits. As Bit Torrent takes on Apple in a battle for your video downloads.

Earlier this year Apple pushes for and gets removal of DRM (digital rights management) from music and video downloads on Itunes. Just as Bit Torrent goes head to head with Itunes on video downloads.

In February Bit Torrent Inc, the internet company founded by Bram Cohen opened it’s new entertainment web site.

For those who don’t know about Bit Torrent yet, it is a protocol, that can be used free of charge to download large files quickly over the internet using very little band width, It was invented by Bram Cohen. (to learn about bit torrent and how it works go to see the resources box at the end of this article)

Last year Cohen’s company entered into agreements with several movie companies among them Paramount, Warner Brothers, MGM,20th Century Fox and MTV networks. This was the ground work for them to build their business model for a broad market video download service. MTV is a key company because of it’s market demographics.

Apple was quick to follow suit and made it’s own agreements with various movie companies.

This latest effort by Bit Torrent will offer a strong competition to Apple’s Itunes as well as other movie download sites, such as ,Walmart and don’t forget DirectTV and cable on demand services.

What Bit Torrent offers is rental downloads, purchase downloads and some free downloads. It also offers an opportunity for you to publish your own torrents. Very attractive to new producers of video content. This appears to be a move to create a home for original content providers at the Bit Torrent web site.

You might say that is all well and good but how do I watch the content on my big screen TV? Good question.

Two months ago Bit Torrent announced it’s partnership with the company Netgear , which has developed a small inexpensive interface cable box to use to transfer your movies, video and other content from your computer to your TV. Hmm…. sounds a lot like Apple TV.

In an interview on CNBC May 3, 2007 Patrick Lo, the chief executive of Netgear said that Netgear’s plan is to use it’s wireless networks in the home to drive content from the internet to the home TV and make everyone’s home a wireless network.

Not so fast Bit Torrent; last week Apple counters with , what else, video on demand.

London’s financial Times wrote an article indicating that Apple would be offering a video on demand download service in the Fall. And the downloads would be rentals that would cost $2.99. These rental downloads would be good for thirty days and could be shared on one or more of Apple’s devices, Apple TV, iphone or ipod.

This latest move by Apple seems to have placed Apple and Bit Torrent in direct competition with all other video on demand services, which include Amazon’s service, Netflix service and the cable and direct TV companies services.

The gamble would appear to be for Apple and Bit Torrent to drive these other services to a point where they are marginal players and for one of them, that is Bit Torrent or Apple to emerge as the consumer favorite for video and internet content downloads and streaming wirelessly.

A question arises; where is Microsoft in all this? Are they missing the boat again? Or just waiting for the dust to clear?

Hollywood is placing bets on as many power players as it can; hence the agreements with both Bit Torrent and Apple waiting to see who comes out on top.

iphone traveling abroad

Everyone likes to have the latest gadget. In fact, there are people whose lives revolve around getting the newest electronic toy, regardless of whether or not they need it. They have to have the biggest memory, the smallest buttons, the shiniest appearance. We have gadgets for playing music, gadgets for playing videos and toys that enable us to communicate with people across the globe in any number of ways.

Add to this list the 3G iPhone that is due to be released soon. There are going to be orders and queues around the block to snap up one of these little toys but buyers should ensure they read the small print first to check it fits in with their lifestyle and they should know of any hidden costs they are likely to incur.

Apple and O2 have come together in their use of unlimited download facilities and this has formed much of their marketing campaign. The latest 3G model will be available free on some O2 tariffs so thousands of people are expected to want to upgrade. One of the carrots that the duo like to advertise to entice customers to upgrade is the use of their unlimited data and wi-fi allowances. Mp3 music and videos are one of the most popular facilities that make or break a sale.

However, not all customers realise that this is only available while they use their phone in the UK. If you are a frequent overseas traveller and decide to download mp3 music while you are abroad, you will be facing a shocking bill on your return home. Many consumers have been caught out this way.

Once out of the UK, download charges shoot up massively. If you are still within Europe, the charge goes up to 3 pounds for each megabyte of data downloaded, anywhere else in the world will result in 6 pounds per megabyte. For the average BBC iPlayer programme, roughly 300Mb, this would come at a cost of 900 pounds if you were in France and 1,800 pounds if you downloading in the US!

Orange and T Mobile also charge staggering prices for mp3 music downloads, or any other type of download, outside of the UK with prices reaching 8 pounds per Mb. Having said that, the iPhone is likely to experience more downloads because customers like the large screen and it makes it easier to view programmes.

One of the biggest marketing strategies for the iPhone is that it doubles up as an mp3 player and this entices many people to buy the product. Mp3 music downloads are very popular among iPhone users but downloading one track outside of the UK could cost you as much as 18 pounds depending on where you were travelling – that’s a lot more than buying a complete album on CD.

O2 say that they inform their customers if there are going to be extra charges for music downloads and programme downloads while abroad but services such as email updates use data services without first seeking permission for the extra charges from the user. For those who are frequent travellers and like the freedom of downloading what they want, when they want it then the best option is to acquire a bolt on package that will allow up to 50Mb for 50 pounds a month. This is ok for music downloads but is still going to get pricey for programmes and films.

Whether you are just popping off for a fortnights holiday or travel with work, then you should always check with your mobile phone company as to exactly what the charges will be, to prevent yourself coming back to massive bills.
