IPhone – Did anyone have problem with their contact list?

Hey guys. I’ve just bought my IPhone and sync my contact list into my IPhone with Microsoft outlook. But i’ve experience some problem with receiving text and receiving calls. For example, my friend’s mobile number is stored as 81889045 in my contact list and whenever he calls me, his name will appear on my IPhone screen. But then whenever he text me, his name did not appear on my screen, instead i’ll only see his mobile with area code in front ie. +60 81889045. So it became a problem because u’ll know who calls u cos the name appears but then u wouldn’t know who text u since only numbers appear. Did anyone experience this problem? How do u remedy it?

I have an iPhone too and have never experienced this problem.
