social media employee policy

If restaurant owner fires an employee for policy violation (excessive tardiness) say the following?
type of statements below after termination, can I do something about it? Being said on public forums or social media to others:
“… Get the F*** Out of that place! I heard you guys barely have hours…..Lol F*** that High School Job!”
“i work at XXX, how manly is that.”
What would you do or recommend? I certainly don’t want these type of negative comments to be floating around. Would this be a type of libel issue? Are these comments classified as something. We don’t want negative comments being said especially if they aren’t true or from disgruntled employees.
I sincerely doubt this would be considered a libel case. Libel is usually saying something that is false, and both statements are more opinionated than factual. If you wanted to find something the most serious would be verbal abuse, but as different things are considered abusive or offensive, it boils down to a matter of opinion. Unfortunately, free speech is one of those things that we have, so if someone wants to speak rudely to you it’s their right, so long as they dont do so disruptively.
