One look at Samsung Genio Touch, you will mistake it for Palm Pre, because of the 2.8″ touchscreen and the rounded bottom with curved edges. The phone is also called the Samsung Corby outside UK. The Genio Touch follows an engaging, responsive UI, with updated social networks and of course an attractive made.

But web browsing is disappointing as there is no 3G and Wi-Fi access and you have to rely on GPRS or EDGE for data downloads, nor there is GPS chip present inside the phone. Though it supports full HTML options and multi web pages but the access is not swift.

Genio Touch’s 2 megapixel camera with no auto-focus and only 1600×1200 pixel resolution, makes the picture quality and color accuracy poor.

With multimedia, photos and videos can be stored on a microSD card of up to 16GB size which is pretty huge. Music can be played with WMA, MP3, AAC, eAAc, and eAAC+ formats. The model also plays FM radio with the support of plugged-in headphones. The battery is of 960 mAh and runs finely for hours.

MMS (picture messaging) is still disabled by AT&T until late this summer, along with tethering (which you will have to pay extra for). In the meantime, you can still send photos in email.
