your iphone help
How do you put a DVD file into your iPhone?

I need something really legit and no scam websites to help me convert a DVD into an MP4 to put on my iPhone.

Any easy, simple steps for a website?

Hey, this is quite a hard topic but here goes:
1. http://www.alivemedia.net/download-mp4-converter.htm <-- download this program, it's a very good video converter, but this is only a trial
2. Once downloaded and installed, open Alive MP4 Converter and click add
3. Select your DVD file:
3.1. Click your DVD drive
3.2. There should be two folders; sound and video, click video
3.3. Now click the biggest file (just hover over each one to find out)
4. Now you are able to convert your DVD to a MP4 file, so click Convert button in the converter
5. Since this is a DVD file, which is typically 700MB to 1GB, this will take a LONG time to convert.
6. Once that's done (finally :D ), it should save into My Videos.
7. Now hook up your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes.
8. Click "Add File to Library"
9. Look for your DVD file in your "My Videos" folder and click it
10. Now click "Sync iPhone"

P.S This will also take a long time.

Hope this helped you out!

social networking how to
Social networking?

I decided the other day that I was tired of MySpace and all the other just general ‘keep in touch with my friends’ social networking type sites out there… Being a freelance (part time) web builder I thought it might be a fun project to set up one of my own, so I did… I just launched it today – and I’m the only member so far :(

it can be found here: http://www.shouldertap.net

I’m curious if anyone has any ideas about how to get people to go there? I’ve always been pretty good at site planning and the visual part, but I totally suck at marketing.

Oh, fyi, I’m not trying to make money from it or anything, no advertisements or anything, would just would like to see a few people get a kick out of this thing..

Any suggestions?

What is different about your site?
Are there different features, different guidelines?
If you read the book “The tipping point” about how a trend takes off, there are a group of people that makes it happen. Maybe market it to a certain “hip” group of people that define your image. Perhaps there is a small college that you could plaster with info about it, see if it takes off on the college.
My 0.02, though, would be to market it as the “networking site for grownups” so you don’t have that idiotic teens doing skanky poses and such. (Can you tell I’m a grownup? I have too much dignity to haunt MySpace)

iphone how to use it
Unlocking the iPhone to use on another carrier?

Ok, I use jailbreak which “unlocks” my phone, but yet I see videos of people going inside their iphone to modify it so its unlocked.
What is the diffrence in proceedure and even if you can unlock it, how do you activate it with another carrier since it uses iTunes to activate?

Cell phone companies use different technologis. The IPhone is sold through AT&T with uses GSM. Verizonwireless uses CDMA. Those two different cellular technologies require different chipsets so you can change drastic differnces in hardware by changing the software so to speak.

How much will the 3G iPhone cost me per month?

I’m already on a plan with my mom. And i’m thinking about upgrading to the 3G iPhone later this month. We already have unlimited texting. But my moms scared she’s going to have to pay like $100 more each month if i buy this phone.

Will me buying the iPhone effect our monthly bill?
And how much more will my mom be paying each month?

If you are already on a plan all you have to do is add the iPhone data plan that will be $30 more per month. You old voice plan and old messaging plan will still cover you for everything else. So she will see an increase in the bill of $30 a month (plus whatever city, state, and local taxes depending on where you live on that $30)

iphone fix screen

When we talk about the world’s best phones, the iPhone is the first name that comes to our mind. It is surely one of the classiest phones available in the market today and its owners consider it to be a style statement. This high quality phone is an Internet and multimedia enabled Smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. If there is any function that can be performed by any other mobile phone, the iPhone can do it too. It functions as a camera phone (also including text messaging and visual voicemail), a portable media player (equivalent to a video iPod), and an Internet client (with email, web browsing, and Wi-Fi connectivity) — using the phone’s multi-touch screen to render a virtual keyboard instead of a physical keyboard.

But like other phones that function at the cutting edge of technology, the iPhone too has come under the scanner because it is a phone that is susceptible to a large number of technical issues and problems that become an obstacle to its proper functioning. The standard course of action that will be adopted by the maximum number of people who own iPhones would be to go to an authorized Apple service center and get iPhone 3G S replacement parts at a hefty cost or get iPhone spares in UK’s premium mobile stores. The amount of money spent in repairing your phone will be astronomically high at the authorized service center or the premium mobile store which will burn a huge hole in your pocket.

A large number of iPhone 3G S spares in UK are available. This includes LCD screen displays complete assemblies with touch screen digitizer panel, communications board, frame assembly including the sync / charge connector, home button, head phone socket, microphone and speaker, head phone jack socket includes headphone jack socket, vibrator, power on off switch, volume controls and silent ring switch, new batteries, outer shell cases including front case bezel, rear iphone case, iphone antenna cover and iphone SIM tray, camera and internal antenna. Everyone in the mobile industry knows that repairing an iPhone is perhaps the hardest thing to do with the phone and this is not due to the lack of availability of iPhone 3G S spares in the UK.

The iPhone is manufactured in Apple’s certified factories and every one of them is a result of pin point precision and marvellous engineering. There is an alternate solution to this problem which may stand you in good stead in the long run. This solution is to procure iPhone 3G S replacement parts or a brand new iPhone 3G S spares in UK from highly credible places other than the authorized service center and get your phone repaired too. This solution will save you a lot of money and rest assured that there will be no compromises made with the quality of your precious iPhone. You can also find good quality iPhone 3G S spares in UK on the internet.

social media expert video

Video Marketing is one of the most powerful forms of inexpensive marketing online. Consider video marketing as a combination of Social Media and Article Marketing. YouTube is the most famous sites for video. On YouTube, you can make comments, subscribe to channels, and add friends, much as you do with Facebook. More importantly, you can give great content and build trust because people will get to see you and hear you.

Keep your videos short. No longer than five minutes, unless it’s really good content and won’t bore people. Most people will spare two to three minutes to learn a tip to two. In Video Marketing it’s permissible to tell more about how your business can help people, but keep it to a minimum. You’re providing content not a commercial.

Provide valuable content!

On YouTube for example, in the information box to the right, have your link to your blog or website so people can find you with a simple click. Make that the very first part of the description so people can easily find more about you and your website.

Video is great for “How To” topics, reviews, and showing people how to trouble shoot computer or Internet problems.

Video Marketing can lead to fast results even with limited views if you are consistent and make several videos each week. Remember each video stays out there helping market your service or product. One fishing line may not create instantaneous results, but each new video is another line waiting for a bite. After a few weeks of posting videos you’ll have a lot of lines working for you all the time!

In each video you have two goals: 1) Educate the viewer and 2) Tell the viewer what to do next.

Video Marketers also should understand the concepts of personal branding. In your video account make sure you have your picture and short bio telling more about you. Besides the link in the description box of the video, make sure you have it in the biography section of your video account. Tell your story. Be yourself. You don’t have to be perfect or slick in your presentation. In fact, being normal and a bit clumsy will give you more credibility. People are distrustful of slick advertising. Make a video and speak to the camera as if you’re talking to your ideal costumer who already wants your service.

social media guide

social media guide

If you are like me and so many other people today, you’ve connected through LinkedIn, set up your profile on Facebook, Twitted your Tweets and MySpace’d your favorite music performers to view road schedules. But what business opportunities are there around Social Media, and how do you integrate it into your contact center; to be a media, marketing or contact center channel for interaction?

Social Media offers consumer and business-to-business companies the opportunity to connect and communicate every day and get involved in the lives of people that either use their products or services, or might one day. This is a body of people that want to be seen, heard and recognized that have needs, wants and desires, and are computer savvy, often with a high degree of disposable money, and time to chat, video, blog, or write articles (like this one). They are willing to spend the time to speak out, or shout out and be heard. Social media levels the playing field, as anyone can create bad press, say nasty things, but in social media everyone can jump in and create a consumer affairs disaster.

Social media can play a leading role as a direct channel to listen in, have a conversation and guide the discussion; good, bad or ugly. But having the right team, tools and timing is essential, as you have to be involved every day to listen, be present and “be in” the conversation. I believe that the contact center environment is an ideal place for this to happen. Agents can outreach and act as a “social media outpost” casting their net to capture conversations, hear, and deal with hearts, minds and problems and people that impact your business products or services. Problems are inherent, in any business and it is essential that you are diligent in addressing and resolving them. Using a contact center as a “Social Media Outpost” is a good strategy to address concerns, bad press or consumer affairs issues that can plague the best brand management strategy.

To create or bring on a Social Media Outpost, with the right people, process and technology, it is essential to establish a set of rules, to help guide this new conversation and interaction channel. Internet Protocol (IP) and Voice Over IP (VoIP) have enabled multimedia channel support synergies that connect many people over the web. Some systems are proprietary, and others are open source. There are many websites featuring vendors like Skype, Broadsoft, which have incorporated click-to-call buttons for making calls to contact centers. A visit to companies like Dell, Continental Airlines, Sears, will reveal that this technology is mainstream now. On the open source side there are things like RSS feeds, tags, and rich media functionality that fuels the technology that underlies the whole gamut of social media. The most fortunate aspect of setting up a Social Media Outpost, whichever way you go, is that much of the set up cost are open source and free.

Facebook has over 200 million subscribers and in 2009 introduced its storefront to every one of the Fortune 500. To further enable the conversation, pioneering work was recently completed by the IT giant Avaya, when it integrated itself with Facebook. Using the Facebook application Facephone, consumers can now interact with a contact center, while in Facebook, and start a phone, video session or IM. The video calls rely on the Avaya Aura Thin Call client, another experimental technology developed by Avaya. When the caller wants to communicate to an agent, they are positioned in a queue to receive a customized hold video. These possibilities are decidedly long term and still experimental in nature. And, then again, if they were available today would customers really use them? While one part of customer service is very personal, it still remains a service that has a degree of anonymity. Social media on the other hand is all about personality and authenticity. So, as a result, service is evolving along with the nature of customer service. There is no doubt that it will undergo a sea change.

Any contact center has a team of agents to handle calls. For a contact center to work effectively, in tandem with social media, the first thing to be done is to maintain a dedicated team of agents and create a social media outpost. But this in itself will not produce any tangible results. What you really need is to build a framework along with a suitable strategy, with a set of rules and exceptions to help guide the conversation. For this you will have to learn every aspect of social media, tools, and relevant sites to be on the move to the next stage, listen to the conversations, guide the responses and lead with insightful perspectives.

Listening has always been the essence of effective communication. Just by listening, you serve half the purpose of your Social Media Outpost strategy. But in the realm of social media, the process of listening is done somewhat differently. Based on the various facets of your contact center, you need to sweep, scrub and filter the information that is conveyed through your channels of communication. While monitoring such communications, you should trace who is saying what and where. By analyzing the information you will be able to address, refine and guide the conversation. By being present on a social media channel, you listen to your customer and they can be satisfied from every angle.
